Innovative Solutions, Quality, and Performance Since 1936. We do the Impossible.
One of our most accomplished projects so far has been the Denver Art Museum expansion where we integrated our expertise in metal art and structural steel buildings.
The Denver Art Museum expansion was designed by world-renowned architect Daniel Libeskind, and the distinguished landmark opened in 2006. Libeskind’s model emphasized geometric shapes that were inspired by the Rocky Mountains.
Input from our preconstruction team and detailers was crucial in assuring the details were not only possible to fabricate and erect, but also economical for the project’s budget.
Our project management team coordinated with LPR, the steel erector, to synchronize our fabrication schedule with their steel erection schedule.
Our ability to fabricate to specifications and deliver each steel shipment on time allowed this project to be very successful.
The complexities and volume of this project showcased our very best abilities and propelled us forward to win more projects that would later contribute to the Denver skyline.
Due to the building’s distinct steel configuration, the building was awarded the Presidential Award of Excellence from the American Institute of Steel Construction – AISC’s 2007 Innovative Design in Engineering and Architecture with Structural Steel (IDEAS2) Awards competition.
